1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or using any services from Norm Electrical Engineering (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs). These terms apply to all services listed on our website (www.dodgerblue-beaver-621771.hostingersite.com) and any related agreements.


2. Services Overview

We provide the following electrical services (as detailed on our Services Page):

  • Electrical Installations (Wiring, Sockets, Lighting)

  • Electrical Testing & Inspections (EICR, PAT Testing)

  • Fuse Box Upgrades (Consumer Unit Replacements)

  • Emergency Electrical Repairs

  • Smart Home & Security Systems

  • EV Charger Installation

  • Other Electrical Services (as agreed in writing)

All work is carried out by certified electricians in compliance with UK Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and Part P Building Regulations.


3. Pricing & Estimates

  • Free Quotes: We provide free estimates based on initial assessments.

  • Final Pricing: If additional work is required, we will notify you before proceeding, and costs may be adjusted accordingly.

  • VAT: All prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.


4. Deposits & Payments

Deposits

  • non-refundable deposit (20-50%) may be required to secure bookings, especially for large projects.

  • Deposits are deducted from the final invoice.

Payment Methods

  • Bank Transfer

  • Credit/Debit Card

  • Cash (upon agreement)

Payment Terms

  • Full payment is due upon job completion unless a payment plan is agreed in writing.

  • Late Payments: Overdue invoices may incur 8% interest + statutory fees under the Late Payment Act 1998.


5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation by Customer

  • More than 24 hours notice: No charge (deposit refundable if no work started).

  • Less than 24 hours notice: £50 cancellation fee (or loss of deposit).

  • No-show appointments: Full deposit forfeited.

Cancellation by Us

  • We reserve the right to cancel due to safety concerns, incorrect information, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • If we cancel, any deposit paid will be fully refunded.

Refunds

  • Refunds are only issued if work is not completed as agreed due to our error.

  • No refunds for completed work or change of mind.


6. Service Guarantee & Warranty

  • 12-month workmanship warranty on all installations and repairs.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to parts (e.g., EV chargers, consumer units).

  • Exclusions: Damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or failure to follow maintenance advice.


7. Liability & Insurance

  • We carry public liability insurance for all work performed.

  • Not liable for:

    • Pre-existing electrical faults not disclosed.

    • Damage caused by other contractors or customer negligence.

    • Issues arising from non-compliant DIY work.


8. Access & Safety Requirements

  • Customer must provide safe access to the work area (clear space, working power, etc.).

  • If unsafe conditions are found, work may be delayed or cancelled (with notice).


9. Changes to Work Scope

  • Any additional work requested will require a new written quote.

  • We will not proceed without your approval for extra costs.


10. Complaints & Disputes

  • If unsatisfied, notify us within 7 days of job completion.

  • We will investigate and resolve issues promptly.

  • Unresolved disputes may be escalated to UK courts under English law.
